| Mittersill’s Alpine lake - Hintersee |
| Hintersee Lake lies picturesquely nestled between steep rock faces in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park at an altitude of 1313m above sea level. With a length of approx. 550m and depth of up to 10m it is the largest of Mittersill’s mountain lakes. The water is so clear that you can see right down to the bottom of the lake. |

| Lamprecht Caves in Weissbach near Lofer |
| The cave system “Lamprechtshöhle” which can be accessed from the village of Weissbach near Lofer is 51 kilometres long in total and therefore Europe’s largest cave system. Polish potholers found a new entrance to the system at an altitude of 2,178m above sea level in 1993 actually making the Lamprecht Cave System the longest uninterrupted cave system in the world. A seven hundred metre stretch of the system has been opened to the public and, escorted by guides, you can follow the route into the mountain finally reaching a platform which gives you an impressive view of the well-lit and extensive caverns. You will overcome an altitude difference inside the mountain of 70 metres! |

| Ice Caves in Werfen |
| The large 20 metre wide and 18 metre high entrance to the caves in the side of the mountains can been seen well before you reach the “Eisriesenwelt” ice caves. Guided tours of the caves, offered in several languages, will take you through the most impressive and easily reached parts of the cave system and magnesium torches light up the impressive ice figures. The temperature inside the ice caves during the summer months is around 0° C so we would recommend warm clothing and sturdy footwear. |

The walk is 2,3 km long and rises 300m in altitude giving you a wonderful view of Hollersbach and the surrounding Hohe Tauern mountains. |
