The Kitzsteinhorn mountain lift station, at an altitude of 3029 metres, is not only the highest point in the entire county of Salzburg that can be reached by lift but also becomes the centre piece of a new Alpine experience this winter when the newly renovated “World of Summits 3000” (Gipfelwelt 3000) is reopened.
The mountain lift station World of Summits 3000 is more than just a building. Its bold new exterior is complimented by an interior that is dedicated to the spirit of the Alps with a Cinema 3000 and National Park Gallery. The Gipfelwelt 3000 pays homage to the natural beauty of the Alps and the Hohe Tauern National Park, an experience for all the senses offering an infrastructure unparalleled at this altitude.
